"Technology" by Austin Viens

These are photos of technology that we use everyday, not often, new inventions, and old inventions that we still use today.

The morning that I got my camera set up with a memory card and batteries and started my project, I took a picture of my computer. It isn’t very new and I don’t use it very much. I walked past it and took a picture so it would be blurry. I have a Mac. It was new in about 2004 but now its not and it is really slow so my family doesn’t use it very often.

Seth is fixing his camera before class starts. Tuesday, the day we started our projects, he hadn’t taken any pictures for homework so he had some work to do this day. He had just signed out a camera and had forgotten what he was going to do his project on. He is good at working with technology and knows how to use it to help him.

This chair is very basic technology but it is technology. It has to be some kind of technology to be able to hold up people that weigh a lot. Sometimes we don’t realize that things we use everyday are technology. Chairs and tables are technology even walls are technology because someone invented them and they were made for our daily life. I think anything that helps us succeed in daily tasks is technology.

This is somewhat new technology because things like these cameras were invented around our time instead of things like chairs which were invented a long time ago. This technology isn’t used as much as chairs and things because people have been using chairs for a long time and we have become more reliant on them. They are also harder to use. Some people may not know that you only push a button down to take a picture. This may make it hard for some people to trust them. We also may not use them because we don’t have the time, chairs are in our every day life but taking pictures isn’t for most people.

This picture has some aesthetic elements I would like to point out. One is lines of perspective. The dark lines from the wood of the table guild your eyes to the two cameras and one of the cameras safety attachments points to the other one also. Another aesthetic element shown in this picture is reflection. You can see a strip of light going down the table and that is the reflection from the gloss of the table. Those are some of the aesthetic elements of this picture that I found.
