"Signs of Spring" by Mary Langille

The first signs of spring are usually kids playing outside in shorts and t-shirts. Like in this 2nd black gym class they are playing ultimate Frisbee by the football field next to the middle school.

Flowers are out and blooming already, and it’s not even the end of March. These daffodils are scattered all over the school grounds. What’s cool about these flowers are that they are like us. They come in all different shapes and sizes and even colors. They are also a bulb plant too so you plant them once and they come up every year as good as they where the year before.

Bushes like these are everywhere also. They are evergreen bushes and they are the same as Christmas trees. These aren’t really spring time plants but they are everywhere so I just thought that it would be good to put them in. They are right next to the daffodils.

This is a tree that is on the corner of the gym and is starting to bloom. I’m not quite sure what it is. But it hit me in the face so I guess it wanted me to take a picture of it. I thought it was really pretty because it was just starting to bloom and those are usually when you can see everything happen. The school also has a couple of these scattered in some corners of buildings.
